Sam Castelli

Sam is Castelli Group’s founder and leader. He oversees all Castelli Group operations, bringing more than 40 years’ passion, technical expertise and professional experience to the role. Sam established Castelli Group after his engineering company, UGL, successfully listed on the ASX in 1994. At the time, UGL employed more than 2,500 staff.

Sam’s high standards and strong record of achievement help ensure the Group consistently exceed its clients’ expectations and succeeds in all of its activities.


Adam Castelli

Adam manages Castelli Group’s property operations, though maintains an interest in all of our ventures. Clients respect Adam for his strong drive and commitment to achieving goals. Adam’s experience spans over 20 years.

He is registered builder, a Licensed Real Estate Agent and has a Bachelor of Commerce in Property. Adam’s hands-on approach sees him dedicated to the task at hand, be it in the office, on a building site, or at Castelli Estate in Denmark.


Luca Castelli


Luca is an experienced electrical engineer and renewable energy engineer. He manages Castelli Group’s electricity retail and power generation interests, including Advanced Energy Resources and A-Star Electricity. He also oversees the Group’s winery operations and In Cantina, its liquor wholesale business. Luca’s sophisticated knowledge of the West Australian energy market, technical capability and over 10 years of industry experience has seen him develop a reputation for delivering leading-edge power generation and electricity supply solutions for both large industrial and small commercial electricity consumers.


Mike Garland

Senior Winemaker
Mike is Castelli Estate’s Senior Winemaker. He oversees all winery operations and is integral to the development of Castelli Estate’s range of highly acclaimed wines. Mike has been a winemaker since 1996, and is a recognised expert in cool climate varieties from WA’s Great Southern region. His extensive knowledge and passion for producing quality wines which are expressive of the region and its varietals are integral to creating Castelli Estate’s consistently outstanding wine range. Castelli Estate’s 2013 Il Liris Chardonnay recently won a total of 5 major trophies at the Perth Royal Wine Show including best wine of the show, best WA wine, best white table wine, best WA white table wine and best chardonnay of the show.

James Majer

Brand Manager and General Manager (Wine)

James manages the Group’s various wine interests, from sales and marketing, to export and wholesale activities in Australia and abroad. James has a results-driven approach which is built on his extensive experience in the hospitality and wine industry, including managing several of Perth’s most prestigious venues. James has a ‘grass roots’ approach to promoting the Castelli Estate brand and contributing to the development and marketing of new brands.
